I listened to this for the first time and broke out into tears! This is one of the greatest pieces I have ever heard! The emotion and beauty gushes forth…so overwhelming.

Beautiful, and I agree…very emotional.
Thank you so much for posting this marvelous performance. I migrated to your blogsite from RCSD. I’m reading your Dad;s book with the book club. I hope to hear you sing. Do you have a YouTube video I can tap into? I wish you great success in your career.
I was a violinist myself and so enjoyed the violin concerto. I had not heard it for many years, and it brought tears to my eyes. I am now in my 80′s. Even the applause at the end of the performance was moving, and well-deserved.
Hi Maryellen! It was so wonderful to read this message. It’s stayed in my heart for the past week. Here is a video of me singing the mezzo-soprano solo of “Recordare” in Mozart’s Requiem this year. I’m in the middle who starts the piece. I also sing the solo for “Domine Jesus” at 10:40.

Thank you so much! I hope to perform one day. I’m looking at graduate schools right now!
The Violin Concerto is extremely beautiful, isn’t it? It really captures the heart and moves you. The last minute are what touch me so much.
I hope you’re enjoying Dan’s book so far, as well as the blog! I plan on writing more for it here soon..I’ve been so swamped with homework! God bless you! May we meet in heaven one day. You are in my prays Maryellen!
Thank you Ariel, for your generous reply with the link to the Mozart Requiem. I enjoyed it immensely. These memories of your wonderful experiences at school will stay with you for the rest of your life. You can be rightly very proud of your achievements using the gifts God has given you. He is trusting you to use that beautiful voice for His greater honor and glory.
Thank you for your prayers. I also will hold you in mine.
